Keeping The Dream Alive...

This past weekend has been all about Dreaming...

If you went to see the film Notorious, BIG felt us with one quote that stuck with me... No Dream is too BIG, Sky's the limit...

Monday we came upon Dr. Martin Luther Kings Birthday, only to be proud to see part of his dream being fulfilled...

Today we watched as Barack Obama became the 44th Prseident of the United States of America...

And as for me, Im just a girl chasing my dreams....

SOOOOOO TRUE THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS EXTREMELY DEEEP AND POWERFUL. TUESDAY MORN I WOKE UP CRYING AND WAS SO PROUD TO BE A BLACK MAN LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES. ALSO YESTERDAY I SEEN THE BIGGIE MOVIE WHICH WAS POWERFUL. I FEEL THAT WE AS PEOPLE MUST CONTINUE TO FOLLOW OUR DREAMS AND DONT GIVE UP. SOCIETY WILL TRY TO HATE ON US AND PUT US DOWN SAYING WE CANT DO IT BUT WE MUST STAY FOCUS AND HUMBLE. WHATS DEEP IS THAT GOD PLAYS APART IN OUR GROWING IN LIFE. WHAT STRUCK OUT TO ME IN OBAMA"S SPEECH WAS THAT HE SAID "AS A CHILD WE DO CHILDISH THINGS" IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE LIVE IN 2009 LIVE LIKE WE NEVER LIVED BEFORE. MANY OF US ARE STILL DEAD TO THE WORLD AND NOT LIVING OUR LIFE OR DOING WHAT GOD HAS GIFTED US TO DO. THE TIME IS NOW YA DIG. IN THE BIGGIE MOVIE REGUARDLESS OF WHAT BIG WAS DOING HE STILL HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THAT SCENE WITH HIM CALLING HIS MOTHER TO PRAY WITH HIM WAS POWERFUL!! IN THESE TIMES WE ARE SEEING THE MOVEMENT OF FAITH AND GRACE AND MERCY IN OUR LIVES. ITS TIME THAT WE BE THANKFUL AND NOW DO WHAT WE HAVE TO DO (HEY LEAH DIDNT MEAN TO GO IN LIKE THAT BUT THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST BLOG CONTINUE TO LIVE AND FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS YA DIG!!)

You are doing a really nice job with your blogs!

However, I have to comment on the inauguration. This Tuesday was by far the most electrifying day of my life. I actually saw President Obama with his family in the parade on Tuesday. I was filled with tears of joy and happiness, just being there, esperiencing this historic moment in America were beyond words. It has restored my faith for this country.
